Mr. Amin Wehbe Tabet
In 1961, Amin Wehbe, an Electronics Engineer, started importing Sylvania lamps to Lebanon. Three years later, he joined GTE Sylvania as a Regional Sales Engineer for the Middle East and Africa. Finally, in 1977, he decided to start his own lighting business, and, thus, Lumatron was born. By 1999, the company had grown into a regional lighting player and is now providing central battery systems and turnkey theatre solutions.
At Lumatron, we experienced the evolution of incandescent, through the fluorescent, discharge lamps and halogen lamps, to the LED. We loved witnessing the technological transformation of the light source from a crude and inefficient incandescent to an efficient, versatile and environmentally friendly LED. Lighting still has a long way to go, to be able to come close to the dynamic natural light, which our bodies need. Unlike the sun, most of the light sources used now are static with fixed location, intensity and spectrum. We are ardently focusing our efforts on transcending the boundaries of LED lighting.

Message from the MD
In 2001, Yasser Wehbe Initiated the expansion of the family business by selling different brands of lighting fixtures for the retail market in Doha. In 2002, Lumatron Qatar W.L.L. was officially founded and since then, it has become one of the leading lighting supply and engineering companies in the State of Qatar. Thanks to the high demand in lighting Supply and the need for innovative solutions, many projects were awarded and successfully accomplished, thus establishing a firm foothold in the State of Qatar. Throughout the process, Lumatron Qatar decided to partner with high quality lighting brands from around the world, employ highly skilled people and set up an efficient management team. With hard work, dedication and a high level of specialties, Lumatron Qatar W.L.L. was able to offer a full range of services and solutions, providing the edge it was looking for.
